Simon has over fifteen years’ experience in the creative and cultural sector. He established Redfront in 2000 and since then has led on projects for a wide range of clients. His specific expertise includes marketing, technology and accessibility.
He has also led on a number of professional development programmes for Redfront, around the areas of brand development, marketing communications and project management and is committed to fostering individual skills as a means for supporting a strong creative sector.
Prior to establishing Redfront, Simon worked for two of Britain’s leading contemporary dance companies, Rambert Dance Company and Siobhan Davies Dance Company, where he was marketing manager. At Spoon Magazine, where he was marketing director, Simon was specifically responsible for developing the business plan for the creation of an e-commerce strategy. Simon is also Managing Director of imagetext, a communications company, which is currently advising clients on the use of emerging web technologies and social media.
Phillippa has enjoyed over 10 years developing and managing creative sector projects. She has special interests in the following crosscutting areas: creative industries, young people and social enterprise. Past roles include audience development for a regional partnership of eight museums and galleries; marketing manager for a busy London arts centre; senior project manager at Prevista Ltd, a leading cultural and economic regeneration agency; planning and evaluation manager at NESTA (The National Endowment of Science, Technology and the Arts); and Creative Sector Campaign Manager for Make your Mark (now called Enterprise UK)- the national industry led coalition founded to promote enterprise and inspire young people to make their ideas happen.
In addition to her professional commitments Phillippa has enjoyed being a mentor to young people; a Creative Industries business advisor; setting up cultural sector networks in four regions and she regularly contributes to creative sector forums and events, nationally and internationally. She is a fellow of the RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures & Commerce), and CIM qualified.
