Redfront recently Redfront helped to launch Artslife, a project for artists (and aspiring artists) with learning disabilities that it has helped to create.
At the heart of the project is a website designed to be accessible to visitors and writers. This is achieved, in part, through a clear interface in the site itself. It is also made possible through the ability to submit articles by email and even by text message. The site also has a map-enabled events calendar that can send text message updates, ideas for developing careers in the arts, video interviews with learning disabled artists and video help throughout. The site was developed by Redfront’s sister company, Imagetext.
Beyond the website Artslife is embarking on a series of face-to-face career workshops, has produced an arts-related picture bank for easy words and pictures publishing and is working on a whole series of exciting developments for the future.
